RareBird Acupuncture now offers healing sessions for animals. Treatments use non-insertive acupuncture meridian techniques based in the traditional Japanese style using Teishin tools, acupressure and Chinese massage (Tuina). In addition; Energetic hands on healing modalities and Tuning forks may also be used depending on your animals condition and receptivity.
Animals respond quickly and deeply to the lightest touch and intentions. When I learned this form of energy healing on wild mustangs, I learned mostly about myself. Animals are our greatest teachers.
Animals don’t always know how to tell us that they need care. They have a high tolerance for pain and certain dispositions that cause them to “push though pain”. If your animal is showing signs of discomfort or your veterinarian has advised you to seek acupuncture for your animal companion lets talk about the services I can offer to support your pet in their healing.
Sessions range in length but as a standard are generally anywhere from 10-30 minutes and are defined by the animal and their level of comfort. This service is only available one day a month. In the future I hope to open up more available times. If you are new to RareBird Acupuncture, a phone consultation is required prior to booking an appointment. At this time, I am only treating domesticated animals in the clinic. I am available for on-site visits for larger animals that do not travel, contact me to discuss rates for on-site visits.

Treatments Rates: $75.00 per session – Sessions are booked in 30 minute time blocks, but your animal decides the length and it’s often shorter.

The veterinarian association and the the state of New Mexico legally prohibits licensed Acupuncturists and Doctors of Oriental Medicine from using acupuncture needles on animals. So all of my treatments do not puncture to the skin with needles. Please do not ask me to use acupuncture needles on your animal, as I am bound by law not to do so.
