Animal Acupressure and Energy Healing

March 23, 2024

For the love of all animals.

“When it comes to healing, animals heal the fastest, then children, then adults. This is because they are the closest in instinctual nature to the divine.” -Dr. Jean Loscalzo

Meridian therapy

RareBird Acupuncture offers healing sessions for animals. Like humans, animals have their own unique meridian map with pulses that reflect meridians and organ systems. I apply the same skills I use when treating humans to animals.

My treatments use non-insertive tools to activate and treat the meridians and organ systems. These techniques are based in the traditional Japanese style, using Teishin and Pediatric Shonishin tools, Acupressure and Chinese massage (Tuina).

Animals are very receptive to energy healing

Animals respond quickly and deeply to the lightest touch and intentions. When I learned this form of hands on energy healing on wild mustangs, I learned mostly about myself. Animals are our greatest teachers.

Energetic Hands on Healing modalities, Tuning forks and Stone Medicine may also be used depending on your animals condition and receptivity.

Seeing the signs that your animal needs care

Animals don’t always know how to communicate to us that they need care. They have a high tolerance for pain and certain dispositions that cause them to “push though pain”, at times we don’t recognize their needs until they start showing signs of injury or slowing down. Working breeds, and working animals often fall into this category. Trust that you know your animal well, if you suspect that they are acting differently or communicating to you that they need support, or if your animal companion is showing signs of discomfort, lets talk about the services I can offer to support your pet in their healing.

Session info

Sessions range in length but as a standard are generally anywhere from 10-40 minutes and are defined by the animal and their level of comfort. If you are new to RareBird Acupuncture, a phone consultation is required prior to booking an appointment.

At this time, I am only available for on-site home visits contact me to discuss rates.

Sessions are booked in 30 minute time blocks, your animal decides the duration of the treatment session based on needs and consent.

State laws regarding the treatment of animals

The veterinarian association and the the state of New Mexico and New York legally prohibits licensed Acupuncturists and Doctors of Traditional Chinese Medicine from using acupuncture needles on animals. All of my treatments DO NOT puncture the skin with acupuncture needles. Please do not ask me to use acupuncture needles on your animal, as I am bound by law not to do so.
